COVID-19 Response From Masters

Masters Update 3/16/20

As this virus’ impact continues to develop, everyone at Masters is committed to doing everything we can to help our customers in the community that might be affected by the Coronavirus. We sincerely hope you and your loved ones are able to avoid the effects of this virus. We have and will always put your comfort and safety first and foremost.

We are closely watching public health officials and the CDC guidelines and will take additional precautionary measures. This is by no means an exhaustive list and will evolve as we receive further guidance from health officials.

What Steps Are We At Masters Taking?

• Employees that can work from home are instructed to minimize in-person contact with the office
• We have instructed all employees to stop shaking hands
• We have instructed all employees to stay home if they are sick
• Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, & disinfectant spray have been handed out to all technicians
• All employees are required to wash their hands before & after each customer contact
• All employees are required to disinfect iPads/tablets after each customer contact
• We’ve implemented stringent cleaning policies around the office as well as wiping down high touch-points & high traffic areas

All customer service representatives will also be asking the following questions before we will come out:

• Are you experiencing any flu-like symptoms? (shortness of breath, coughing, and/or fever)
• Have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for the coronavirus?
• Have you been tested for the coronavirus?

CDC Reminders On Staying Healthy

Protect Yourself & Your Family

• Wash your hands with fragrance free soap & water for at least 20 seconds
• Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, & mouth with unwashed hands
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick

* Frequent washing of hands can lead to dry and cracked skin, make sure to pat your hands dry, leave a small amount of dampness on your hands and then moisturize to lock in the water. Ideal moisturizers should not have perfume, anti-aging properties, or allergens. Hand creams are usually better than body lotions.

Protect others

• If you can, stay home while you are sick, except to get medical attention
• Cover coughs & sneezes with a tissue if possible & make sure to throw the tissue away. If no tissue is available, cough or sneeze on the inside of your elbow
• Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily like doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, & sinks. Make sure to use gloves when handling cleaning supplies

What Steps Should You Take If You Are Sick?

• Stay home & avoid public areas & public transportation
• Separate yourself from other people & animals in your home
• Call ahead to your doctor & tell them you may have COVID-19
• Cover your coughs & sneezes
• Clean your hands often for 20 seconds or longer
• Avoid touching other people
• Do not share personal household items & wash thoroughly when they are done
• Ask your healthcare provider to contact the health department
• If you have to call 911, let them know you may have COVID-19
