Masters Heating & Cooling can help you choose the right furnace for your home. Start with the AFUE (annual fuel use efficiency) rating. An AFUE of 80% means 20% of the heat produced is being wasted. Modern high-efficiency gas furnaces can have ratings up to 97.5% and our belief is to invest in the most efficient furnace you can afford. The efficiency will pay off in the long run.
This is a critical step to assure the furnace will heat your home in the most efficient way. Bigger is not always better, but a unit that’s too small may not provide adequate heat. Factors that need to be considered include square footage, type of insulation, number and quality of windows and doors. It takes a trained technician who knows the complicated formulas to determine which size is correct for your house.
Making the Right Furnace Choice
Whether it’s cars, appliances, or groceries there is an age old argument about the value of buying name brand versus off brand. Cost should be considered, but it shouldn’t be the most important factor. There is truth in the old saying that sometimes you really do get what you pay for. When it comes to a furnace you are talking about an investment to keep your family comfortable and safe. Masters Heating & Cooling is proud to feature the latest high-efficiency furnaces by Carrier®, a pioneer in the heating and cooling industry. As a Factory Authorized Carrier® Dealer, Masters technicians receive the latest training to install and maintain those furnaces. Any new installation we do comes with a one-year labor warranty and 10 years on parts.

The Masters Installation Process
When you call Masters, our trained Customer Service Representative will schedule your no-obligation furnace estimate with a Comfort Advisor.
The Comfort Advisor will arrive at your home to assess your home and comfort needs. No matter what type of heating system you choose, the size is the most important factor. Too big or too small will shorten your system’s lifespan.
Your Masters Comfort Advisor will then provide several system options and special financing available for you to choose from, ranging in efficiency levels and comfort needs best suited for you and your family.
Once the system and/or accessories are confirmed, the installation date and the team is scheduled. Permits will be pulled, if necessary.
You will receive a reminder phone call 24 hours in advance with a timeframe window and the amount of time the installation should take.
The installation team arrives to demo, remove the old system and line set, and prepare the space for the new system. The team installs and then runs through an extensive list to ensure all is well and operating as it should.
The install team leader will review the checklist with you and go over instructions on how to operate your new system, thermostat, and/or accessory. He/She will also review your Energy Savings Agreement and discuss scheduling your next performance maintenance appointment.
A senior technical manager arrives on site to verify the installation quality, customer concerns and system operation for peak performance.
An installation manager will follow-up shortly after the installation to ensure you are happy with your investment and there are no questions you need answered.
